PAIA Manual

Manual prepared under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), incorporating the information required by the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Updated 20 September 2026.

No separate postal address has been designated. Requests may be delivered electronically to the PAIA request email.

3. PAIA guide

The Information Regulator publishes the PAIA guide, prescribed forms and complaint process at inforegulator.org.za/paia. A request to a private body is made using prescribed Form 2.

4. Records available without a PAIA request

Cycle Platform makes its public website, privacy policy, terms, subscription information, acceptable-use policy, account-deletion instructions and this manual available without a formal request.

6. Applicable legislation

Records may be retained under legislation including PAIA, POPIA, the Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, Income Tax Act, Value-Added Tax Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and other legislation applicable to the relevant record or relationship.

7. Request procedure

  1. Complete PAIA Form 2 from the Information Regulator.
  2. Identify the requested record, the right to be exercised or protected, the preferred access format and your contact details.
  3. Provide proof of identity and, when acting for another person, proof of authority.
  4. Email the form and supporting documents to support@veelixgroup.com.
  5. Pay any prescribed request or access fee if lawfully required. We will give written notice of the decision and applicable fee.

8. Refusal and remedies

Access may be refused only on grounds permitted by PAIA, including protection of privacy, confidential commercial information, safety, privileged records and security. A requester may complain to the Information Regulator using the prescribed complaint process or approach a competent court after following the applicable procedure.

9. POPIA processing

Purposes

Authentication, platform delivery, club and school administration, coaching, attendance, rider progress, subscriptions, invoices, payments, marketplace operation, support, safety, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Data subjects and information

Users, prospective users, riders including children, parents or guardians, coaches, club and school representatives, sellers, buyers, suppliers and support contacts. Information categories are described in the privacy policy.

Recipients and cross-border flows

Information may be supplied to authorised Cycle Platform users, contracted operators and providers such as Google Firebase and Google Cloud, Apple, Google Play and payment providers. These providers may process information outside South Africa under contractual, organisational and technical safeguards.

Security measures

Measures include authentication, role-based access, encryption in transit, restricted administrative access, provider security controls, logging, dependency review, backups and incident response. Details that would prejudice security are not published.

10. Availability

This manual is available free of charge on this website. It will be reviewed when Cycle Platform’s processing, legal obligations or verified corporate particulars change.
