Privacy Policy

Effective 20 September 2026. Veelix (Pty) Ltd, trading as Cycle Platform, is responsible for personal information processed through Cycle Platform.

Information we process

Depending on how you use Cycle Platform, we process account and contact details; role and club or school relationships; rider, parent and coach links; sessions, attendance and progress; profile choices and uploaded media; marketplace listings and messages; invoices, subscription status and payment references; support requests; and technical security records. Payment-card and bank credentials are handled by the relevant payment or app-store provider and are not stored as raw credentials by Cycle Platform.

Why we process it

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide sessions and attendance tools, connect clubs, schools, coaches, riders and parents, administer subscriptions and invoices, operate the marketplace, provide support, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

Account details required to create and secure an account are mandatory for registered use; optional profile media, marketplace content and preferences are voluntary. If mandatory information is withheld, the relevant account or feature cannot operate. Cycle Platform processes event and session locations entered by users, but does not require continuous device-location tracking.

Children

Cycle Platform supports supervised rider networks. Where a rider is a child, the club, school, coach and parent or guardian must ensure that a competent person has authorised the processing required for the rider to use the service.

Sharing and international processing

Information is shared only with authorised users in the relevant Cycle Platform relationship and with providers needed to operate the service, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud, Apple, Google Play and payment providers. Some providers process information outside South Africa under their contractual and security safeguards.

Retention and security

We retain information only while required for the service, legal obligations, dispute handling and legitimate security records. Cycle Platform uses authenticated access, role-based controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, monitoring and restricted administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, or complain to the Information Regulator. Account deletion is available in the app. PAIA access requests are explained in the PAIA manual.
